No shouting in this kitchen, just oodles of fun while you learn how to impress with your cooking under the guidance of Head Chef Stuart Phillips. Action packed day, learning lots of new skills, enjoy lunch and you get to take away what you have cooked.

A Short Tour of the herb Garden

Morning Session - Prepare and cook:

Ham & Fennel Chowder

Salmon & Smoked Salmon gateau wrapped in Cabbage with Chive Beurre Blanc & Langoustine

Saffron Mussel Risotto with Tomato & Basil.

Breast of Duck with Orange Sauce.

Salted Duck leg with Mustard Cream Sauce.

Break for 3 course lunch & glass of wine

Afternoon Session - Prepare and cook:

Wild Mushroom Ravioli
with Garlic Cream

Blueberry Crème Brulee with Rosemary Shortbread.

All cooking materials including aprons & knives are provided.
And, you get to take home what you’ve cooked.
Stuart aims to pass on experience, knowledge and interesting ideas to anybody of any ability. As long as you can tie an apron, you're in !

YOU can spend a lifetime learning about new combinations of flavours, testing out new gadgets or having a companionable time around the stove, or you can spend a day in a professional kitchen. We British watch hours of TV celebrity chefs yelling, and swearing and generally making out that life in a busy restaurant is not fun. Commercial kitchens are hot, dangerous and stressful places – but they also hum with drama and passion.
Along with a big dollop of new skills to rake home, this was what our brigade of domestic cooks were looking for as we sipped our morning coffee in Shropshire's award-winning Hundred House Hotel . . . . more
