Walking in Shropshire

Shropshire has over 3,500 miles of rights of way. Our long distance walking routes run through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes you will find anywhere in Britain. A short drive takes you to Wenlock Edge, The Long Mynd, Carding Mill Valley or the Stipperstones (featured above) or the wild borderland hills traversed by Offa's Dyke.

Close by are the rolling fields and deep gorges of the Severn Valley along which the Severn Way passes on its way to Bristol. Keen walkers will find the award winning family run Hundred House Hotel in Norton to be the ideal location for exploring the delightul Shropshire Countryside. If you enjoy walking and have a passion for history you will love the walk to the nearby Ironbridge Gorge - "The Craddle of the Industrial Revolution."
