Our venue itself, though beautiful and lovingly crafted, is merely bricks, mortar & oak, lurking inside is what’s really important! You find a devoted gang of individuals who, as a team, are totally focused and very much excited about delivering a memorable experience for our guests.
Stuart & Jo
Managing Partner & Exec Chef. Marketing Manager
Managing Partner, Stuart, has many “hats” within the business! Having trained in Michelin star Restaurants in France, London & Chester, he returned home 26 years ago and now has The Hundred House now running through every fiber of him! After many years heading up the kitchen team, in more recent times Stuarts spends his time between the office, Front of House & kitchens, overseeing all operations and ensuring all our guests thoroughly enjoy their visit to the full!
His Wife, Jo, joined the business in 2011, kick starting our incredible reputation for Weddings in Shropshire, then moving from Wedding Manager to G.M. These days she spends most of her time on marketing & sales, but her broad knowledge of the business comes in handy, being available for any other part of the team! She still runs the occasion Wedding when Gemma is on holiday, which she still adores and looks forward to!
Executive Chef, Stuart Philips, encompasses the best produce that Shropshire has to offer along with a choice of around 50 fresh herbs from Henry’s Herb garden. After training in Michelin star Restaurants in France and on home soil, Stuart is passionate about using the best quality dishes in our state of the art kitchen!

Weddings Manager, Support Team & Head Chef
Our Weddings Manager Gemma is devotion to your Wedding knows no limits, being there for you every step of the way! Whilst Gemma is ensuring your day is perfectly planned, our Head Wedding Chef, Maggie can be found creating flavoursome dishes to please your guests; her talents have been crafted in renowned kitchens around the globe.
Holly, Josh, Jodie and the rest of the team support Gemma throughout the day and are conscientious to the last! They always have everything under control and ensure no teeny tiny detail goes unnoticed!
David & Henry
Business Partners
David and Henry are Partners who play their part in keeping The Hundred House what it is, from keeping the beer in tip top condition, maintenance, cooking your breakfast, keeping the garden looking stunning to taking care of finances.
These two ensure that The Hundred House will be around for many years to come and provide an exceptional experience for all our guests (we’re 35 years in so we think they’ve done a pretty good job so far).
